Last month we went to Baby Animal Days at the American West Heritage Center, which is 5 min from our house. We decided to get a year membership this year since we get a discount from Nathan's job (so excited to use it this summer!). They had a member's only preview day for baby animal days this year, so we took advantage of that. I took the kids to story time there that morning and then Nathan took a long lunch so we could go in and see the animals since they opened right after story time. It was awesome! We got to see the animals (minus the baby bears and baby turtles), ride the train twice, and Blake got to go on a pony ride all within 2 hours and without the crowds! I did take the kids back first thing the next morning to see the bears and turtles. Since we are members we didn't have to wait in the huge ticket line, so we walked right in as soon as it opened, saw the turtles, saw the bears, went to part of a wildlife show put on by the zoo, held bunnies and walked out in less than an hour and before it got crowded.
Like I said before, Nicole loves animals...at a distance:)
