More Concrete

On Oct 20, Nathan took the day off of work and with the help of his dad and a few neighbors who weren't working poured 2 more concrete slabs in the back yard. One is off of the other side of our deck - so we have the patio on the west side of the deck and a sidewalk wrapping around the north side of the deck connecting to the new pad on the east side of the deck. The second pad is for a shed in our backyard. Both pads turned out really good and luckily we got them done before a week or so of rain storms :)

Nathan's next project is to build the shed for our backyard. He got all of the wood Saturday morning and has been working on cutting boards to build roof trusses in the basement this week. Nathan is such a hard worker! He has been able to save us a lot of money by doing these projects himself.

Trying to get Blake's handprint in the cement...this pad was too dry when we tried (it was out in the sun) but the pad on the side of the deck took longer to dry because it was in the shade, so we got a good handprint there (just no pics):
