Bear Lake 2011

We spent 4th of July weekend at Bear Lake with Nathan's extended family. We had tons of fun sitting on the beach, chatting with everyone, and enjoying a nice vacation! We stayed in a condo with 20-30 of Nathan's family members. The kids slept pretty well, all things considered. On Saturday we took the kids swimming in the pool. Blake loved the shallow pool! Nicole had fun being in the pool for the first time until kids started splashing her...the pool was very crowded and people were not watching their kids very well, so Nicole and I left after a little bit. Blake and Nathan stayed and swam for a while longer. The lake was up really high (I think it has risen 9 feet this year and they are expecting it to rise 2 more feet!) so the water right off the beach was full of weeds which was a bummer. Both days at the beach we got a nice spot right under a tree. It was perfect!

Blake and Nathan took a ride on uncle Dirk's boat. Nathan even took Blake and Brendon (Nathan's 5 yr old cousin) on a tube ride! Here is a picture of Blake sitting on the back of the boat:

The 2 days after we got home were full of 2 year old temper tantrums as we were getting back onto a regular schedule. Vacation detox I suppose!
