We have some grass! A family around the corner from us tore out some of their grass to make room for a garden and they let us take the sod. It wasn't quite enough to cover the park-strip, but that's ok. We are leaving 2 areas grass-free so that we can put 2 trees in and then maybe put some other plants around the trees. We don't have sprinklers installed yet, so we are just using hoses with sprinkler heads to water the grass. I am sure glad we have been working on sifting the dirt so that we had a place ready for the sod we got! We just have a little section by the mailbox left to sift and then we need to work more on the main part around the house.
On a different topic, here is the Honeycrisp Apple Tree we got a few days ago. We haven't been able to plant it yet because of rain, but we are sure excited about it! We should be able to get a few apples off of it next year :) Daphne (Nathan's sister) gave Nathan a peach tree for his birthday. We have already planted it back by our garden and it looks like we might get some peaches this year!
Lastly, here is the hanging basket my mom bought me. Isn't it beautiful! Nathan is working on installing a hook so I can hang it :)

Your house is so cute! Have you started a garden yet? That was so exciting for me for some reason. I think it shows how old we are getting when yardwork gives us so much joy :)
We have a nice garden in the back - tomatoes, peppers, squash, watermelon, strawberries, peas, lettuce, cucumbers, and honeydew. Once we get the rest of the grass, we will put in flower beds around the house. I am so excited for it all to be done!
