Chicken Coop

Yesterday we got the chicken coop done enough to move outside. Nathan is still working on the run, but it will probably be another few weeks before that is all done. Nathan did such a great job on it! We did feel a little bad that within an hour or so of moving the coop outside it started to rain, but no water got inside the coop so that was good. The chickens did like the time to run around the backyard when we were moving the coop around.

 The area under the coop will be a place the chickens can hang out once we get the run done. We will probably put some food and water down there so they don't have to go inside to eat. In the picture below, you can see a door that Nathan made for the area under the coop so that we can fill the food and water easily.

  The coop is on wheels at the moment so that we can move it around easily, but once the run is done and we have the coop set up in its location for the summer we will remove the wheels. Nathan thought of everything :)
